Sunday's Sermon Text:

1 Peter 1:10-12

This Sunday we look at the last of three primary points Peter makes as he seeks to help us understand the hope of salvation we have in Christ (1:3-12). We have seen that the saving work of the triune God is the foundation of our hope and we have been reminded of the joy hope produces in us even in suffering. This week we see the immense privilege we have as believers living in the time of Christ's fulfillment of the Old Testament promises.

As you prepare for worship this week by reading this passage, notice how the prophets spoke not of themselves but of Jesus. And they spoke not of their own times, but of Christ's. What ought our response be?
