Sunday's Sermon Texts:

Mark 1:14-15, Zec. 9:9-13, Mark 11:1-10

This Sunday we begin a short break from 1 Peter as we prepare for and reflect on the Kingdom of God. We will begin by looking at Jesus as the King of God's Kingdom that breaks into our world in glorious fulfillment of God's Old Testament promises. We will look specifically at Jesus' words declaring the coming of the Kingdom in his life and death.

As you prepare for worship this week by reading these passages, think about the connection Jesus makes between the Kingdom of God and the gospel. How is what Jesus says a fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecy in Zechariah?
